Welcome to our Seniors Section. At Henlow we believe we have something very special to offer our more mature golfers, whatever their golfing experience. Our activities range from a regular Wednesday Morning meetings through to enjoyable and successful away days playing interesting local venues, Senior’s Opens and Senior’s Matches (as per the diary attached).
On Wednesday mornings at 10.00am our group meets in the clubhouse. This informal get together helps all level of players to meet, mix and form friendships over coffee/biscuits, and 9 holes of golf. Players who would normally use the course on a casual basis are encouraged to enjoy golf with other members of a similar age in a relaxed environment.
In 2008 we will look to develop our interest in casual golfing at other venues, with discounted fees for ‘away days’ which have always proved extremely popular.
The Seniors Match Diary indicates our commitment to provide enjoyable and friendly golf playing 7 clubs, home and away, 14 matches in total, and we ensure that ALL our seniors who wish to participate have a chance to play. Our matches which are ‘social’ golf involve meeting and playing with friends from other clubs to mutually enjoy each others company whilst pitting your skills on courses as diverse as Heydon Grange and Ivinghoe, additionally we also enter Seniors Open Competitions; again although competitive, friendly reunions are once again established. Our Senior’s Events Diary will be attached to the website shortly.
So why not come and join us, our Senior’s Section without a doubt offers friendly unhurried and social golf with members of similar interests.
